Caballito Neighbourhood, a bit of history
Diego Belaunzarán Colombo, Ariel Berardino y Francisco Blanco

In the year 1804 at the corner of Rivadavia and Emilio Mitre, there was opened a local store belonging to the neighbour Nicolás Vila, in his roof there was the only and typical weather vane with the silhouette of a rocking horse. The neigborhood owes its name to this vane.

This was an area of beautiful country houses, some of them for permanent housing and others used for weekends. It was a calm zone, with a lot of green. One of these famous country houses, from 1928, belonged to Ambrosio Plácido Lezica, today called Park Rivadavia.
